Selling Content without Paperwork

You do so on YOUR OWN WEB SITE!

There are two sets of rules :-

• The LAW – which you must follow, in the country where you live*
• Credit Cards rules – which you must follow if you want to take credit/debit cards.

The CC companies now require that you have ID’s and Model Releases from all participants, for ALL your content, including old stuff, and content where people cannot be identified.

The Platforms are now implementing these CC rules.

So….

If you have content – esp older content – that it is legal for you to sell, you can sell it. Just not via CC, and hence not via Platforms. So, on your own site, using crypto, alt payments, gift cards, cash apps etc, whatever you like, and maybe are willing to risk breaking their T&Cs.

What content might this be? Well, really, you shouldn’t have any, and you absolutely shouldn’t have any going forward, and you really should be trying to reach out to people to get any missing parts, but usual cases :-

• Collabs with other performers where you didn’t do the paperwork.
• Working with partners, who are now exes.
• Working with anonymous people – guys who are just a dick on screen, girls who are filmed POV doggy style so you don’t see their face.

HOWEVER, without paperwork, you are at risk of being accused of either filming without consent, or distributing without consent, and you will have to show that you had both. This ranges from easy, -we both had an OnlyFans back then-, to impossible.

*In the USA, 2257. In the UK, there is no legally required paperwork. The paperwork simply allows you to prove age and consent.
