Types of Shoot, the good, the bad

Paid work

Always nice to be offered money to shoot but check bona fides – their social media in particular. You’re looking to see that they are open about what they do.

Good well organised people will, in their first or second message, be clear about what they want you to do, where, when, and for how much money.

What to charge

So variable. But this is a porn page, so, for full sex with a guy, with model release and ID’s, 300-400 if you are a well shaped woman in her twenties/early thirties on a commercial porn shoot. Allow 3 hours at the location, with both BG stills and video. Some people might offer less, and maybe you’ll say yes if it’s local or easy, or just a BJ. Bona fide stars with big follower counts, get more.

Apart from that, charge enough that you make money for your day. Discount for longer bookings. So “Solo with insertions is £40 an hour, minimum booking 2 hours, but 3 hours for £100”, is a good way of making sure almost all your bookings are for £100, and almost none are for £40.

Note – once you are fucking people, GG or BG, it’s not per hour, it’s per scene, and usually second scene is a discount, esp if you can be promised a fast shoot. For example, I shot with a well known girl who charges £400 for a BG a scene, but she accepted £600 for two scenes in an afternoon, because, nice days pay.

If you want to know if an offer is fair, feel free to message me, if you haven’t got any porn friends yet.

WARNING FLAGS :-

  • Disorganised. People who seem disorganised, ARE disorganised.
  • Level Creep. People who start by asking for solo, then say “maybe toys”, then “maybe some interaction” (means BJ, usually), it’s called level creep and usually THIS conversation is their fantasy and they will never actually do the shoot. First sign of level creep, “look, decide what you want then come back to me when you will be in my area”.
  • Psychoprats. People who start talking about more extreme stuff that you haven’t specifically stated you do, and isn’t a reasonable inference from what you do say. Just be clear YES or NO, and if they don’t book in 3 messages, “decide what you want, then come back to me”.
  • Travel Overseas. Ask where, and if that country is anti-porn, they are either a hoax, scam, dreamer, timewaster. Any genuine offers will come from the biggest porn players, and if someone says “I’m from Brazzers, we want you to come to Prague”, the first thing you do, is go to the Brazzers site, use the contact info and ask them if the person is real.
  • Too Much Money. Means there isn’t any money.
  • Revenue share / profit share. Means there isn’t any to share. CONTENT SHARE is a real thing though, see Collabs.

TFP – Time For Prints

Old fashioned term, but basically it means you pose for free for photographers, and they give you copies of the photos. Does NOT apply to video.

I know it sounds mad, but it’s a real thing. If someone suggests TFP and you LOVE their work, AND they are local, AND they will provide (or pay for) the location/studio, clothes/props, it can be good way to pass the time and get some lovely photos.

But if you say NO, and get any pushback, redlist them. Working with them will not be a good experience.

Collabs, aka Collaborations, aka Content Share

Working with, or, let’s be honest, fucking, other performers and then you both/all get to use the content as you wish.

Done well, great fun and an easy way to make loads of content to sell and promote yourself.

You need to make sure you know what the plan is for paperwork and content. (Ideally, you leave the shoot with it on your laptop, but some bigger days, the organiser might want you to leave a hard drive for them to post back, or do a Cloud upload).

BUT, you’re new, and some people will try to take advantage. Never feel under pressure. Do I want to collab with you (if you are a woman)? Absolutely 🙂 But that doesn’t mean you should agree, unless YOU want to collab with me. If you do want some Bad Butler, silver fox, happy client, dodgy sugardaddy etc content, message me 🙂 @PaulJonesAIR.

SAY NO to people who contact you and are : –

  • Unwilling to show their face.
  • Not a performer. While you might, later, agree to share content with a photographer/producer who you like and know does great work for you, for now, avoid. (Though if attending a day and the organiser has invited one, that’s different).
  • Wants to do POV and/or Tripod filming. It’s very hard to do well, so there is a good chance you’ll have fucked someone for nothing. Tell them that’s fine, but paid shoots only.
  • Not someone you want to fuck. Paid work, you work with with anyone, basically. Collabs, you should be working with people you want to work with.

SAY YES to hot people you want to fuck who are performers and have social media and platform presence , esp if they are a couple or have a partner or friend who films (if you don’t).

REACH OUT to performers you want to fuck, and will travel to (or are local to you).

BE WARY of people who say it will be good for your profile to collab with them. It’s a bit “the big I am”, but it can also be true. Basically, if their reputation and social medias profile makes you think, “this would be good networking and fun content”, do it. And if you don’t, ignore them.

Part Pay Part Collab

Be wary unless the people are clearly serious.

It should always involve getting paid a decent amount for your day. So, lets say you’d want 350 for a BG scene. And that’s basically a day – get to the shoot, do the shoot, get home.

PPPC might be “We do TWO BG scenes, I pay 350 AND we share the rights in both scenes.”. You get a days pay, AND you get two scenes to sell. They get two scenes to sell instead of one. Win Win.

WHAT IT SHOULD NOT BE is “We’ll do a scene, I’ll pay half the rate”. To that offer, just say no. UNLESS they are people you’d collab with for free anyway, in which case say yes, but also, tell them you want to get more than just one scene. You want to maximise the value for the day, and half pay for one scene barely covers your costs. 🙂
